Jaime acted as the team’s leader, designated by organizers of the Policy Seminar, and Dr. Laughlin reports she did a great job setting up many meetings with our congresspersons and staffers. Both Lynn and Jaime represent the family discipline. Our Mission The LEND Center of Pittsburgh at the University of Pittsburgh and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC educates a new generation of leaders in the field of disabilities and forges partnerships to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. About LEND The LEND Center at the University of Pittsburgh is one of 60 LEND programs in every state, the District of Columbia, the United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and six Pacific Basin jurisdictions preparing trainees from a wide variety of professional disciplines to assume leadership roles, ensure high levels of interdisciplinary clinical competence, and enhance the ability of clinicians to diagnose, treat, and manage complex disabilities in youth and adolescents. More» Highlights Training The LEND Center at the University of Pittsburgh is a dynamic interdisciplinary leadership training program in developmental disabilities affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh and Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. CARES Program Familes of individuals and individuals with disabilities participate in the LEND CARES Program for connection, advocacy, resources, empowerment, and support from a multidisciplinary team that faciltates a family’s goals. Community LEND Pittsburgh collaborates with several community organizations throughout the city. We would be happy to expand our community partners!
